Day 17. 2012.

Today was another difficult day.

I feel pretty lucky though that I have a great way to unwind and take my mind off of all the stress that is happening around me.

Thank God for my camera...

and for the gorgeous beauty that surrounded me today. DSC_4585 DSC_4582 DSC_4593 DSC_4607 DSC_4619DSC_4621 DSC_4626

Day 12. 2012.

This morning before work, my everyday winter chore of starting the car became something extraordinary when I took in the sparkling beauty that was surrounding me.

The freshly fallen snowflakes glistened on the ground in the early morning light.

The entire sight made me stop and smile.

I wish I would have had time to take some more photos, but this was the extent of it when I was already running late!

I am so thankful I get to live here and enjoy the breath taking beauty that is all around me!

Day 236

I love the crunchy sound leaves make when they crumble beneath your feet.

This lone little red leaf caught my eye before I trampled it and I had to stop and take a shot.

Fall colors make me happy.

Day 165

Picking wildflowers...

Seemed like such a great idea at the time....I mean why not when we got to spend time together (check), made our porch area pretty with bursts of color (check), but getting eating alive by SKEETERS, not soo great!

Day 146

All five of us got to hang out together for a bit this evening.

Our beautiful night started with a bike ride.

Can you tell who was the most excited about riding his bike??

The kids decided they wanted to race down this big hill.

And since I am such a nice mom (ok, so I had to add that, I haven't been feeling at all nice lately with all the fights I have had to break up), I let them.

As I made my way to the bottom of the hill to save my crying two year old from his {mean} brother and sister, (and those are his words by the way..spoken after they left him in the dust) I looked up,
and this is what I saw..

The little guy stopped screaming for all of 2 seconds to take in the breathtaking sight.

And right before it disappeared, I snapped this one...I couldn't resist.

This, my friends, is the amazingly yummy sun that produced our beautiful double rainbow...

All is well, I can die a happy photographer.

I was able to capture nature at its finest.

Nothing could wipe this smile from my face!
