Day 2. 2013.

I couldn't have been more thrilled for a snow day today!

It was Travis' first night home, and his first full day today and it was such a blessing that we were all able to be here to spend it with him.

The weather was beautiful, and with a foot of new fluffy snow to play in, the kids and I couldn't resist gearing up to head outdoors and play!

We all had a lot of fun...I love how these shots turned out!

I was trying to capture that blowing snow shot that I have seen lately and with my little model, it wasn't too tough!

Check out that smile! DSC_2560 And then there is my little hard worker, trying to fill daddy's shoes by clearing a path to the shop. DSC_2583

Love this kid! DSC_2581 DSC_2588 DSC_2491 He was the happiest of all three and loved jumping and throwing snow around! I am so grateful for days like this!

Day 1. 2013.

I had the best of intentions on starting this blog off with a bang at the beginning of the year but that just didn't happen.

Life threw us a HUGE curveball on the morning of January 7 when Travis was in a bad farm accident and survived!

God is SO GOOD!

I am not going to get into all of that right now on this blog, but if you would like to know more please visit his caring bridge site, http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/travistollerud

Tonight, I want to focus on all that is good with our life.

We are so incredibly blessed!

Travis was able to make it to the gym to watch our son Tanner play in his first basketball tournament.

It was such an amazing night!

They were a scrappy little bunch of 2nd and 3rd graders playing against other 3rd graders who have been practicing and playing a lot more.

As the night wore on, they improved so much!

By the last game, they were right in it and we thought for a few minutes that they might take the win.

Although they didn't quite clinch the winning shot, we were all so proud of them!

I couldn't stop beaming and I know that Travis was extremely excited.

After this whirlwind of a few weeks, it felt soo GOOD to have some normal back!

I am so grateful that we get this second chance to be able to go to our kids events together.

And, I wouldn't be a proud, beaming mama if I didn't post some photos of my big little guy playing, would I?!
