Day 5. 2013.

I don't know when I blinked and realized that these kids of mine were growing up (so fast), but wow have they ever had growth spurts this winter!

No longer am I the mom to three littles, like I have been known for, for so many years!

My baby (yes, the little man), is now the BIG guy at daycare!

When in the world did that happen?!

He is teaching the little ones bad habits, like this one...

and in case you are wondering, he is 'shaking his boooty!'

{sigh}

I don't know where he comes up with these things!

And then there is this little sweetie, who is currently rocking out in first grade learning how to read like the rockstar she is....she is pretty excited to be on Level K (which is quite the feat considering she started the year a Level C!)

Love her!

And then there is this one, the Big guy, who is currently obsessed with playing basketball, watching anything with a screen, or whining about eating 'MEAT, again?!'

I cannot believe how TALL he is!

We almost have the same size feet, and he is in 2nd grade!

When did they get so BIG on me? DSC_0825

They let me get some pretty good shots of them today, I was pretty excited! web DSC_0927

We also had some tough shots...pretty typical at our house! DSC_0875 DSC_0860 DSC_0804

and their favorite part, impromptu dancing! DSC_0941 DSC_0943 DSC_0948 So, this was the way that we spent our day snow day...cooped up in the house just enjoying being together.

This past month has taught me to be so much more thankful for the people in my life, and these are three (of the four) most important people in my life!

I am so GRATEFUL for them!

Day 4. 2013.

We have had such a wonderful weekend at home, all snowed in!

Since Travis is still working on healing his body and spirit, we haven't been travelling too far on the days that we get to spend together as a family.

He spent most of the weekend on the couch, which a big improvement from the hours he was spending in the bed!

Tanner loved every single second of this time because they watched old basketball tapes from the days when Travis played in high school tournaments.

At one point, he even went downstairs and found an old medal of Trav's from the game we happened to be watching...it was pretty cool!

Can you tell how excited he was?!

The other two had to take a turn trying it out as well...we have a TON of sibling rivalry at our house! DSC_2629 DSC_2632

Yesterday we were stuck inside watching the massive snow fall and listening to the winds howl and I had a couple of kids who couldn't wait to get outside to PLAY!

Thankfully, today the weather seemed to be a little better so we ventured out this morning and had a BLAST!

Here are some of my favorite moments... DSC_2701 DSC_2711 DSC_2718 DSC_2749 DSC_2769 DSC_2780 We even build some TUNNELS!

So F.U.N.! DSC_2787 DSC_2790 DSC_2800 DSC_2806 Days like these make me smile and feel like a kid again (I even tried the tunnels out!)

Day 3. 2013.

When I came into the kitchen to make Travis some muffins before going to work yesterday morning, Tyson very sweetly asked if he could pretty puh-leez 'lick the spoon'?

When I bake (which admittedly I don't do much of anymore), I don't always let the kids eat the batter, but I figured it wouldn't hurt since there were no raw eggs involved this time.

I told him to make sure not to tell his big brother and sister because they would be upset and then I walked away.

Travis called me out into the kitchen a few minutes later, and said I had to see this....

There he sat, hiding out on the floor of the kitchen with more than just the 'spoon' he had asked me for! DSC_0671

Little stinker! DSC_0672 This little guy along with his brother and sister, give us reason to smile every single day and I am so very grateful for them and moments like these!

These three are helping to see us through this extremely trying time and are the reason we are going to make it through all of this.

Thank God for them!
